JonW: I’m glad you liked it. While word origins are often lost to history, I can decisively place the neo in this neologism in the fifteen minutes preceding 2:06 pm, yesterday. As to pronounceability: I specifically chose “meno” instead of “statos” to avoid the “tospseu” tongue-twister.

Taysom, it’s all in good fun, and probably represents how far away the actual written dissertation/awarded PhD/the job market seems to a lowly MA student like myself more than it does your age.

And I should also note that Ed’s intro was quite modest. He’s shared with me some of his specific research interests/angles, and he is a fine historian.
