I guess Will Bagley is under contract with Knopf to do one. Apparently he is well underway, too.

It will be tough to top M. R. Werner's Brigham Young.

Speaking of Brigham bio's, I'm not sure which two you are talking about, J (up until today I just knew about Ron's and John Turner's), but today I just found out about a third: I guess Will Bagley is under contract with Knopf to do one. Apparently he is well underway, too.

I guess this makes two BY bios forthcoming. It will be interesting to contrast them.

Oh, as far as the publisher, right now I'm not sure. I haven't even thought to ask him.

Thanks Justin. I get the feeling that Ron might not sleep much. He definitely has a lot to keep him going. When I interviewed for the job I asked him how his bio would differ from Arrington. He said that Arrington was a good history of Brigham Young, but doesn't always capture the personalness of Brigham. He told me that this book will focus more on the Brigham that emerges in personal letters and one on one experiences as shown in diaries, rather than the Journal of Discourses Brigham. So far it has been a great project to work on, going through diaries, newspapers, letters, ect. and seeing just how many different perspectives there were on Brigham.

Welcome, Brett. Between the WofW book, the BY bio, the HJG bio, and the MMM work, Walker must stay busy.

Thanks for the welcome guys. I'm still at work right now, so I don't have time to write much of anything, but I'll try and give a better response in a few hours. Thanks again
