Thanks, David. I've had a number of people contact me asking about that, though I agree, a letter would be more effective.

Whatever the result, I encourage all to show support for Ron in the face of what might have otherwise been a very unceremonious exit.

A letter would be more effective than an e-mail. However, if anyone wants to e-mail instead, he or she may send their correspondence to fp@cofchrist.org. (This goes to the Community of Christ's First Presidency.)Thanks again for everyone's support in this matter! Keep the letters coming!

Thanks Nick and David, I think you're right Nick, about Ron being a good ambassador. He has had the ability to transcend scholarly generations as well as religious differences.

David, in case the need arose, is there an email address concerned individuals can use to direct their sentiments?

Thank you, Jared! Ron really helped me through some difficult issues on church history as an undergraduate. Like Jared, I urge anyone who appreciates Ron to write a letter to the CofC First Presidency on his behalf.

Nice job, Jared. I also sent one of the 18 letters thus far received. Having had several experiences with Ron over the years, I'm convinced he's not only a huge asset to the Mormon historical community, but also the best good will ambassador the Community of Christ has.
